Google, which is the hotspot for trends and technologies regarding system and internet, is amid of developing a new software. At least this time it’s not for a computer. Google for the first time developing a software for mobile phones, which is used for translating foreign languages. Cool, isn’t it. Many even wonder that how one can think like that, well that’s Google.

Based on the existing voice recognition technologies and automatic translation technologies, Google is developing this software. According to Google, they think to finish it off in a couple of years, if it happened, then this software could eventually translate over 6000 languages, worldwide. As we all know that Google has already implemented a translator for text, which covers over 52 languages and it also has a voice recognition system that makes phone users to search in internet by giving voice commands as keywords, now they working on combining both the technologies to create this new interpreter software. This software, like a professional human translator listens to the speaker until it understands the full meaning of words and phrases, before attempting to translate it.

Automatic text translators are found to be effective. Will Google capable of having the same effect on this.

Evolution of many things happened in this world, the greatest of all is the evolution of mankind but here now we are about to witness the 2nd greatest evolution. Yes, Microsoft is developing a non-windows operating system, named as Midori. Midori will be mainly focusing on tackling challenges which Redmond has determined before, where it can’t be met by simply evolving its existing technology. Midori also seems to be internet centric and predicted on the prevalence of connected systems. Midori seems to be a gradual development obtained on Microsoft Research’s singularity OS, having completely managed code of tools and libraries.

It is also true that Microsoft is working very keenly on making Midori application interoperable with currently existing windows application. Microsoft is even working for migrating people gradually from Windows to Midori. Midori again, Will be focusing mainly on the latest computing technique of cloud computing. Midori’s application would be created using .NET languages. The main advantage of Midori is that mere starting level developers even distribute processing to massively parallel devices without having to become experts. Today even with quad-core chips we have to be very much specialized to gain full advantage of it…which is a drawback.

The important thing is that talk about your dreams. Talking about your dreams with your better half will help you achieve what you have set. Do the needy things before they ask.

AVATAR – Believe the Unbelievable.

Avatar, the buzz word among all age groups recent days was finally onscreen on dec 18th 2009.

There will be sensation all around if it’s a Cameroon film, this time it’s even doubled as it’s a 3-D film, which is also a reason for the delay on screening this movie as the team has to wait for the sufficient number of theatre to install the 3-D projectors needed.

After the fictional love story in the ship that sunk years ago, the movie “Titanic”, which filled a lot of eyes with tears, Avatar too can be considered as a romantic film. This time it’s not any ordinary love.

The film is set in the year 2154, on the lush moon Pandora, in the Alpha Centauri star systems, where the humans mining a precious mineral called Unobtanium,  there comes the love  between a human and an alien. Well, proving to be the existence of love within every one and everywhere, there are no words to describe the bond between these couples. Then it shows the struggle one went through to save his people and land, with lot of Computer Graphics works involved.

The film is a massive hit in collection, as it is the first film ever to earn more than $2 billion, worldwide.

It’s also shortlisted for the Oscar 2010 nominee list and won golden globe award 2010 for Best film ad Best direction.

People are ready to wait for as many years, if they are presented with such a feast like Avatar, but not Cameroon, busy working on his next project named “Battle Angle”, which is also a 3-D. Expected to be released soon…

The electric number of the film slumdog millionaire, “Jai Ho” which bagged a lot of awards already, seems to be not quitting yet, winning 2 grammy’s on 31st jan at the 52nd annual Grammy night, los angeles.

Jai ho started it’s title race with first checkpoint, winning “The British Academy of Film and Television Arts”, for best music. Later there arose a situation as, if it’s a music fest then there is an award for Jai Ho.

The major of all those awards it received was “The Oscar”, as we all know. This number bagged itself 2 Oscar’s for the best original score and the best original song, for the year 2008.

The other majors including, “Golden Globe” for best original score of the year 2008, “MTV Movie Award 2008” for best song from a movie, “World Sound Track Award” for best original song, “Chicago Film Critics Association Award 2008” for best original score, ”Broadcast Film Critics Association Award 2008” for best composer and critics choice, “San diego Film Critics Society Awards 2008” for best musical score and “Satellite Award” for best original score and best original song.

The man behind all these awards is A.R.Rahman, Ace musician from India, reason for Jai ho and it’s success, addressed the crowd telling “This is insane, god is great again”, after winning the Grammy’s.

Where Rahman’s track “Na Na” from the film “Couple’s retreat” is already short listed for Oscar’s this year.

Yet another grand slam title in the bag, this time with that much ease and still with the cool inside. Yes, roger  federer did it again. The swiss, who seems to be having the hobby of breaking records breaks his own record for bagging the most number of grand slam titles(15), this Monday by beating andy murray in straight sets,  6-3, 6-4, 7-6 and made his title count to 16.

At the age of 22 federer won his first major, winning the Wimbledon 2003. After that it’s all federer, winning many major titles consistently, After Wimbledon 2003, he won Australian open 2004, Wimbledon 2004, us open 2004, Wimbledon 2005, us open 2005, Australian open 2006, Wimbledon 2006, us open 2006, Australian open 2007, Wimbledon 2007, us open 2007, us open 2008, French open 2009, Wimbledon 2009.

But clay pitches seems to be the night mare for him but until 2009, when he won French open beating robin soderling(not the one to be). Because its Rafael nadal, who is his rival, lost to soderling on that French open.

Federer achieved his carrier grand slam by winning the French open 2009, winning all the major 4 titles in the game of tennis but not in a single calendar year.

So with this bright start this year he seems to be achieving his dream of winning all the four in a single year, that too with his clay court nemesis out of form. He stand a chance for it.
